Rome Marathon 2011 Results
Kenyan and Ethiopian runners dominated this year's marathon. In the men's race, Dickson Chumba Kiptolo of Kenya managed to narrowly beat last year's winner, Siraj Gena, while Ethiopian Firehiwot Dado Tufa beat three fellow Ethiopians to become the first woman to win three consecutive Rome Marathons. The top five men and women across the finish line were:

The two winners in the 2007 edition of Rome Marathon were Chelimo Kemboi from Kenya, who finished by 2:09:36, and Algerian Souad Ait Salem, finishing by 2:25:08.
