Ethiopian runners won both the men's and the women's marathon. The men's winner, Siraj Gena, finished the race running barefoot! The top five men and women across the finish line were:

Rome Marathon 2007 Results
The two winners in the 2007 edition of Rome Marathon were Chelimo Kemboi from Kenya, who finished by 2:09:36, and Algerian Souad Ait Salem, finishing by 2:25:08.
